15 injured after taxi and vehicle collide in Hillcrest

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known.

FIFTEEN people suffered injuries from minor to moderate after a taxi and a light motor vehicle collided on the corner of Inanda Road and Acutts Drive in Hillcrest this morning (9 March).

When ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene after 6am, a member of the community was assessing some of the patients.

“Upon further assessment, paramedics found that 15 patients had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. ER24, as well as other medical services on the scene, transported the patients to hospital for further medical care,” said ER24 spokesperson, Ineke van Huyssteen.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident were not yet known to our paramedics but the police were on the scene for further investigations.
