Athletic Lola aims to continue her winning streak

Thomas More College's high school SPAR Star of the Month - February 2018.

LOLA Lee, a Grade 10 learner at Thomas More College, had a busy and most rewarding 2017 and is the school’s SPAR Star of the Month.

Lola definitely balances her life between work and play. At the school’s junior prize giving recently where learners were acknowledged for their achievements in 2017, Lola was awarded the trophy for 1st place in Grade 9 as well as The Blake Kerdachi Trophy for junior sportsperson of the year.

The achievements did not stop there as her extra-mural involvement at school included being part of the swimming team, the U16A outdoor and indoor hockey teams and was also benched for the 1st team in both codes.

She was also in the U16A soccer team (benched for 1st team) and the U15A cricket team. To round up her year, the talented athlete also represented KZN in the U15A soccer, team U16A hockey team and the U19A cricket team.

“We are extremely proud of Lola and we know that 2018 will hold many great opportunities for her,” said Thomas More College’s marketing coordinator, Kim Hooper.
