Bellair’s talented actress needs help to reach USA

Lerato matriculated from Queensburgh Girls' High School in 2015 having left her mark in the dramatic arts department with her involvement in school productions both at her high and primary schools.

BORN in Durban and raised in Bellair, aspiring actress, singer, dancer and model, Lerato Nothando Xaba, is ready to take on the world.

Lerato has been selected to represent South Africa at the 2018 ARTS Convention in Orlando Florida, America.

She attended the first boot camp in preparation for the convention and is anticipating the next boot camp in April.

At boot camp her skills were sharpened in the film and fashion industry and she was taught special skills in dancing and personal branding.

With a great understanding now of what the international industry is looking for, Lerato is ready to make South Africa proud and bring back a great wealth of knowledge as she will be trained by international managers, producers, casting agents and directors.

From this opportunity she believes that many doors will be opened for her to showcase her talent on a world platform.

She is humbled by the opportunity she has been given and aims to inspire young people to never give up and work hard till their dreams become a reality.

The rising star has played lead roles in Durban based Blank Canvas production company, Love (2016) and Saving Grace (2017). She juggled these commitments while studying occupational therapy at the University of KwaZulu-Natal,Westville campus.

Lerato was set to take her career to the next level when the perfect opportunity of auditioning for the International Arts talent showcase arrived via a friend who told her about the auditions.

With hope being her driving force, she got the callbacks to perform in front of international scout and director of ARTS (Applause Rising Talent Showcase), Kim Myers.

With this international opportunity Lerato needs to travel abroad at her own cost and needs financial assistance from those who believe in her and her dream.
