Chelsea Spar reopened after electric cable catches alight

The store has been reopened and is operating as normal.

STAFF and customers were evacuated at Chelsea Spar in New Germany after an alleged electric cable caught alight a short while ago.

The Fire Department and ambulance were called to assist. The sparks were quickly controlled and fortunately no one was injured.

The store manager, Clara Zuma refused to comment. The store was reopened within 20 minutes.
