Injured chameleon spotted, treated and released

A concerned resident saw the chameleon was injured and dropped it off at the Kloof and Highway SPCA.

A RESCUED chameleon was recently released by the Kloof and Highway SPCA after being treated for an injured eye.

IN early January, a member of the public dropped off the chameleon at the local NPO. He found it in the Embo Valley and was concerned for its well-being as it has an injured eye.

“The chameleon was sent to Village Vet for treatment and was then returned to the Kloof and Highway SPCA,” said the NPO’s Brigitte Ferguson. It was released into an indigenous garden near the Kloof Gorge.

“Go well little one,” said the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s Brigitte Ferguson. “We would like to thank the kind, caring member of the public, who was concerned about this chameleon’s injury, for bringing it to the Kloof and Highway SPCA for treatment.”
