Domestic recycling programme resumes

Residents are reminded to continue using clear bags for all recyclables as the municipality is still experiencing challenges with the supply of orange bags.

ETHEKWINI Municipality’s Cleansing and Solid Waste Unit domestic recycling programme resumed on Monday, 5 February.

The municipality thanked residents for their continued support and participation in the programme.

Residents are reminded to continue using clear bags for all recyclables as the unit is still experiencing challenges with the supply of orange bags.

“The City remains committed to practicing proper waste management through reducing, reusing and recycling,” said eThekwini Municipality head of communication, Tozi Mthethwa.
