Elderly man shot twice in Westville attempted home invasion

The man was shot in his lower body and had to be rushed to hospital because of his serious injuries.

A MAN believed to be in his 70s sustained two gun shot wounds to his lower body after an attempted home invasion in Protea Place, Westville North.

According to Garrith Jamieson from Rescue Care Paramedics, the man was found seriously injured.

“Advanced Life Support Paramedics stabilised the man on the scene before rushing him to a nearby hospital,” said Jamieson.

This is the third incident in Westville that the Highway Mail has reported on in less than a week.
