Give the gift of a hug

Help beat stress by sharing hugs with your friends and family on National Hug Day.

IN light of National Hug Day, Huggies will show its support for The Big Hug campaign. This campaign was created by a group of extraordinary children wanting to lead the charge towards more empathy and healing by connecting the world through a big hug.

With the help of the public, the children will attempt to set a Guinness World Record on National Hug Day for the largest group hug in St. Petersburg, FL on Sunday, 21 January. Their aim is to set the record and create a movement of hugging around the world.

On National Hug Day, Huggies South Africa encourages residents to take a moment and hug those around you in support of the movement.

Human contact is said to have many health benefits and could improve both psychological and physical development. Hugging is believed to help build a good immune system, decrease the risk of heart disease, and decrease levels of stress in women.
