CHRISTMAS is a time of giving, so buy an empty advent calendar box from the Kloof and Highway SPCA and fill it with your unwanted goods.
“Think of all the things you do not use any more from the Teddy bear at the bottom of the toy box, the T-shirt that no longer fits or even the pots and pans that have been replaced by the shiny new ones. This Christmas, why not fill a box with second chances?” said the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s marketer, Brigitte Ferguson.
To buy a box, visit the local organisation’s reception area or one of its thrift shops and grab one for R20.

For each day leading up to Christmas, place an unwanted item into the box and tick off the days.
“Return your full box to the Kloof and Highway SPCA and know that this Christmas you have made a difference in the lives of the animals in our care,” said Brigitte.
