#16DaysofActivism2017: Help Open Door raise funds and awareness

Open Door Crisis Centre's aim is to raise funds to sustain its counselling and psycho social services to eradicate gender-based violence focusing on women and children.

TO raise awareness over the 16 Days of Activism, the Open Door Crisis Centre, will showcase its work fighting gender-based violence issues and also raise much-needed funds at a day of fun, food and fashion at the Pinetown Senior Primary school in Church Lane, Pinetown on Saturday, 9 December from 9am.

Funds raised will be used to support Open Door’s shelter for abused women, children at risk and victims of human trafficking.

Entertainment will include a wide range of displays, demonstrations, a talent show, craft tables and a flea market where a large selection of Christmas gifts will be on sale.

Children are urged to take their bathing costumes to either play in the pool or enjoy the wet slide.

To tempt the taste buds a tea garden will serve scones and cakes, and the take-away option includes breyani, hot dogs, burgers and boerewors rolls.
