Paradise Valley collision leaves 15 injured

Traffic was severely backed up as emergency services cleared the scene.

FIFTEEN people were injured when a taxi collided into the rear of a truck on the N3 north bound near Paradise Valley just after 10am today (28 November).

Garrith Jamieson, operations director at Rescue Care Paramedics said paramedics were greeted with total chaos when they arrived at the scene.

He said a taxi collided into the rear of a truck. Multiple casualties were found at the scene and immediately more ambulances and advanced life support paramedics were dispatched.

“A total of 15 people suffered various injuries and were stabilised on the scene before being transported to various Durban hospitals,” said Jamieson.

At this stage the exact cause of the collision is unknown, however SAPS will investigate.
