Adopt a plot and watch it grow

Take part in the adopt-a-spot initiative and help create a more beautiful Hillcrest.

THE Parks and Gardens Department of the eThekwini Municipality encourage businesses and individuals to take part in its adopt-a-spot initiative to help maintain and beautify municipal verges.

The Keep Hillcrest Beautiful Association encourages and facilitates this drive.

In Hillcrest there are three adopted areas and its most recent adoptee is Pro Appointments.

“KHBA is pleased and proud to announce that Pro Appointments has adopted the spot in the flanking road that extends from Cube House to the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust,” said KHBA’s Marge Mitchell.

“Thank you Cindy Norcott and your team for stepping up to help keep our area beautiful.”

Pro Appointments is a Westville-based recruitment agency but many of its staff members live in Hillcrest.

The company’s owner, Cindy Norcott, said she was delighted to support the adopt-a-spot campaign and firmly believes it is important to take pride in the community. Cindy encouraged other companies to do the same to make a difference to the beauty and cleanliness of Hillcrest.
