As the world waits anxiously for the union to make its decision, the Minister of Sport and Recreation, Thulas Nxesi has urged South Africans to show their support to the country and the Sprinboks by wearing green and gold throughout the day.

Nxesi said SA was ready to host the tournament, and argued that it was an event that could build the nation and foster economic benefits.

The final decision is expected to be announced by 3pm.

The Cell C Sharks have since also taken to Twitter to urge the public to put on a Springbok Jersey or any other green and gold clothing.
