Pretorius leaves inspiring legacy

Pinetown Girls' High School Principal is retiring after serving the school for 22 years.

PINETOWN Girls’ High School principal, Cheryl Anne Pretorius, is taking a well-deserved retirement break after 22 years of loyal service to the Pinetown community.

Pretorius has been described as a visionary and highly dedicated leader who always put the school first before her personal life.

“The high standards and tone that she set were always clear to the staff. She did not tolerate mediocrity and was not afraid to deal with challenging issues,” said deputy principal, Sibongile Njapha.

The school governing body also expressed their admiration and appreciation for all her hard work, her respect for the parent body and willingness to engage the school governing body in governance matters.

Pretorius leaves Pinetown Girls’ with a legacy, and inspiring example that will remain with all the learners and those who worked with and for this remarkable leader.
