A WOMAN, believed to be in her 40s, was killed this morning when she was hit by a light motor vehicle on the M13 in Westville.
Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesman said paramedics arrived on the scene at about 9.20am and found the body of a woman lying in the middle of the road. A bystander had already begun performing CPR.

“Paramedics immediately took over from the bystander, providing her with CPR and advanced life support interventions. Unfortunately, after 25 minutes, no vital signs returned and the woman was sadly declared dead,” said Meiring.
The driver of the vehicle, also a woman, was assessed and found to have escaped injury. Local authorities will launch an investigation into the matter.
