ALEX Cooper, a Grade 3 learner at Waterfall Preparatory School is its first SPAR Star of the Month.
To celebrate Arbour Day this year, each class at the preparatory school donated and planted one Flat Crown tree for its eco-campus. Each class was encouraged to donate an amount of their choice. Alex decided he would use some of his pocket money savings to contribute towards the Grade 3 tree.
He is an environmental fundi and was in full support of planting indigenous trees to preserve the school’s environment. “The school was incredibly impressed by his humility and thoughtful approach to the environment. Well done, Alex,” said the school’s marketing manager, Rikki Thoresson.
