Legal Aid SA to help draft wills during national wills week

Highway community can visit or contact Legal Aid offices in Church Lane, Pinetown for assistance.

MANY South Africans are currently without a will, a very important legal document which is an essential part of estate planning that stipulates how they want

their assets to be dealt with upon their death.

Drafting a will makes it easier for your loved ones when you pass on.

As part of National Wills Week from Monday, 11 to Friday, 15 September and through its network of 128 offices nationally and 21 offices in the KwaZulu-Natal province, Legal Aid South Africa will be assisting various communities across the country to draft basic wills.

Legal Aid SA provincial communication practitioner, Bongani Mahlangu said their legal practitioners will use the opportunity to advise South Africans on frequently asked questions about wills, making sure that they learn about the importance of this document.

“We encourage people to visit our office at 1 Church Lane, ABSA Building, Pinetown or call us on 031 719 2700 for assistance with the drafting of their wills,” said Mahlangu.
