St Mary’s Old Girls reunite

More than 160 former learners at St Mary's DSG gathered for a special reunion luncheon recently.

ST Mary’s DSG held its annual Old Girls’ Day on Saturday, 5 August at the school and more than 160 girls attended the lovely occasion.

The day began with a special chapel service where the high school choir performed and was followed with an operatic number from Old Girl, Lisa Engelbrecht (1983).

The crowd then turned to reminiscing and laughter over tea and treats.

After further entertainment by the William Saints Singers, a newly formed choir of which a number of the members are Old Girls, the executive principal, Jonathan Manley, addressed the crowd.

The Old Girls then had great fun visiting their favourite spots from their school years, as well as the new additions and developments such as Statue Grace and the Creativity Centre.

The Greek-themed lunch wowed the Old Girls and chatter could be heard late into the afternoon.

St Mary’s thanks the many who attended and those who travelled long distances to make it to their 10, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 50 year reunions.
