Dozens of people made their way to show their support for the Kloof and Highway SPCA on Mandela Day.
The Unlimited's Avinash Bishundayal, Shemaan Ramsunder, Akesh Mothilal, Jantez Quarsingh, Christopher Mulder, Penelope Nel, Brett Fuller and Stephen Butler-Emmett create a mosaic.
MEMBERS of the public, companies and local businesses were invited to celebrate Mandela Day at the Kloof and Highway SPCA by donating 67 minutes of their time doing various activities such as making dog and cat toys, making a mosaic, cleaning and gardening.
“We also had visitors popping in throughout Mandela Day dropping off generous donations of food for the animals in our care and items for us to sell in our charity shops. A special thank you to everyone who joined us for Mandela Day and who showed their support – we hope to see you all next year.”

MARRIOTT embraced the concept of Mandela Day and gave their 67 minutes in memory of Nelson Mandela by giving back to the community. This year the company chose to support the Kloof and Highway SPCA by donating tins of dog food as well as well as a tray of cakes and savouries made by its staff for the staff at the NPO.
