A WOMAN was killed and four others injured this afternoon when two light motor vehicles collided on Dinkleman Road, New Germany.
Paramedics found one wrecked motor vehicle on the side of the road against the barriers. A second vehicle was found lying on its roof against a wall.
They discovered the body of a woman, believed to be in her 30s, trapped inside the vehicle against the barrier.
“Unfortunately, upon assessment, paramedics found that the woman had already succumbed to her injuries. Nothing could be done for her and she was declared dead. Four patients, all from the overturned vehicle, were assessed and found to have sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate,” said ER24 spokesman, Russel Meiring.
Rescue services had to use specialised equipment to free the woman.
