Biker and motorist injured in Field’s Hill accident

It is believed the biker who was travelling up Field's Hill lost control and hit a barrier.

TWO people were injured when a motorbike and a car collided on Field’s Hill in Pinetown this morning.

Rescue Care Paramedics were called to the serious collision on the M13 just after 8am.

Garrith Jamieson from Rescue Care Paramedics said paramedics found that both carriageways had been affected after a biker who was travelling west bound up Field’s Hill somehow lost control and hit a barrier.

“The bike landed on the east bound carriageway colliding head on into a car. The bike rider and the car driver sustained moderate injuries and were stabilised on the scene by Advanced Life Support paramedics before being transported to nearby hospitals,” said Jamieson.
