Hats off to Mandela Day

Highway Hospice has developed a list of super ideas for this year's Mandela Day.

NOT sure what to do for Mandela Day?

Well, you can start by donating your hats and bags for Highway Hospice to sell at its celebrations on Tuesday, 18 July.

“So often we do not know how to spend our 67 minutes to honour our beloved Madiba, so Highway Hospice has developed a list of super ideas for you which we will be sharing with the readers,” said Highway Hospice volunteer event coordinator, Heather Partner.

All funds generated will be used to continue to support the amazing work undertaken by Hospice.

Hats and bags can be dropped off at Highway Hospice, 59 Lockley avenue, Sherwood, or the shops at 5 Butts Road (off Underwood Road, Pinetown) or 63 Old Main Road (corner of St Margaret’s, Hillcrest).

“People should clearly mark them ‘Mandela Day’.

Also drop off any clothes, kitchen utensils, glassware or books for Highway shops to sell,” said Partner.
