THIRTEEN people were injured when an armoured vehicle collided with a taxi at the corner of Otto Volek and Nipper Roads in Pinetown this morning.
Ceron Lennox from Rescue Care said they found the taxi lying on its side.
“A total of 13 people sustained various injuries. More ambulances we dispatched and patients were treated and taken to hospital,” said Lennox.
Blue Security media liaison officer, Andreas Mathios, said it is suspected the armoured vehicle drove through a red robot and collided with a taxi travelling with a full load of passengers.
“Metro SAPS has urged motorists to drive with caution especially when approaching intersections,” said Mathios.
