Malvern choir spreads joy at old age home

The girls dressed in African attire and showed off their pride and passion during their performances.

THE choir from Malvern Child and Youth Care Centre celebrated Youth Day by brightening the day for the residents of Flame Lily Old Age Home.

Thanks to a kind sponsorship, they were kitted out for the first time in their brand new Zulu dresses and accessories. Each girl showed off their pride and passion as they sang and danced to the beat of the drum.

“Our choir has tremendous talent that deserves to be showcased, so please support them by inviting them to perform at your next event,” said Lee Jarrett, PR and fundraising manager.

The Malvern Child and Youth Care Centre cares for 120 orphaned and vulnerable children between the ages of two and 18 years. Through its development programmes, the home is committed to helping each child reach their full potential by providing a safe and loving environment, three meals a day and access to education, therapeutic care and spiritual support.
