Six year old twins, Sinenhlanhla and Sinegugu with their little sister Esihle Mtolo (3) died after a fire broke on Sunday morning.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Vusumuzi Mtolo, said although they are not 100 per cent sure, they suspect the stove was left on and that started the fire.

“One of my nephews saw the smoke and when he went outside, there was smoke all over and the shack which is outside the main house was engulfed in flames.”

“He tried to break down the door with the help of the neighbours, but it was all in vain as the flames were massive and the children were killed in the fire with everything in the two-room shack.”

Mtolo said the tiny bodies were found in the corner of the one room.

“We are very saddened by this incident. These were small children and to die in a such a horrible way it just too much to bear,” he said.
