A MAN (87) was injured when he was attacked by an armed robber at his home in New Germany this afternoon.
According to Andreas Mathios, Blue Security’s media and community liaison, a call for assistance went out on the neighbourhood watch networks in High Street, New Germany regarding a house breaking in progress.

LAD Security responded and secured the premises. Police also arrived a few seconds later and assisted.
“The man managed to get away and police are investigating a case of armed robbery,” said Mathios.
The pensioner was treated on scene by ER24.
