Nosihle twirls her way to the top

Forest View Primary School's SPAR Star of the Month - May 2017.

NOSIHLE Zama, a Grade 5 learner at Forest View Primary School, was chosen as its SPAR Star of the Month.

She was recently selected to compete with the Junior KZN Provincial Drum Majorettes team for 2017. Drum majorettes has been offered as an extracurricular activity at the school since 2014. Drummies requires an enormous amount of discipline and the girls practice routines and drills for hours each week.

Noshile joined the Forest View Drummies team in Grade 3. “We are very proud of her selection to march with the KZN Team. It is a testament to her character and discipline that she has been selected,” said Jean Montile, public relations officer at Forest View Primary School.

The KZN team will compete against the other provincial teams at the South African Majorette and Cheerleading National Championships in July this year. The SAMCA Championships are being hosted in KZN this year at the Chatsworth Stadium from 8 to 15 July.
