A MAN, believed to be in his 50s, was injured this morning when he was knocked off his bicycle while cycling along the M13 west-bound on Fields Hill.
Russel Meiring, ER24 spokesperson said paramedics arrived at the scene at 7.50am and found the man lying in the bushes in the left-hand emergency lane. The truck that hit the man stopped a short distance away.

“Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained a serious injury to his leg as well as his back. He was treated with pain-relief medication before he was transported to RK Khan Hospital,” said Meiring.
Local authorities were on the scene to investigate.
