Pinetown’s Hunter Tilling is making progress in hospital

"Her sedation has stopped completely. She opened her eyes and she has been responsive," said Bridget Studzinski, a close family friend.

SUPPORT  has been pouring in for Pinetown’s Hunter Tilling, who has made some improvement on Monday  night when she opened her eyes three times.

Close family friend, Bridget Studzinski, said: “We have some positive news this afternoon [Monday, 1 May] on Hunter, she has opened her eyes three times today but she is very dazed. Baby steps and still a very long road ahead.”

Another message that was posted on the Help Hunter Tilling Facebook page on Tuesday night read:

“Hi we saw Hunter last night. She opened her eyes again. Good signs that [the] brain is healing. Her facial muscles are starting to function again. Another good sign according to those in the know is that she is keeping her mouth closed. She did also yawn again. Her feet were very cold so they wrapped them in towels. Her sedation is stopped. They were going to give her pain meds and put her back on the ventilator at 10pm so she does not get too tired. She is still beautiful.”
