Heaps of love flow in for KHBA

The local non-profit organisation has continued its work to beautify the Hillcrest area.

THE team at the Keep Hillcrest Beautiful Association (KHBA) has not let the lack of donations dampen their spirits and they have continued their work uplifting the community spaces.

“KHBA is carrying on with maintenance of a section of Old Main Road in Hillcrest despite not receiving sponsorship and again we are thankful to those who have helped in this regard.

“Being a non-profit organisation we need to make ongoing appeals for donations and sponsorship. Thank you to the many who support us,” said the group’s chairman, Marge Mitchell.

Shirley Richards of Mink and Manure generously donated a load of rich compost to the organisation to help in their effort to establish a garden at the intersection of Shongweni and Old Main roads in Hillcrest.

“We are grateful for the generosity of the residents and community in the area. All plants in the new gardens that KHBA has established have been kindly donated,” she said.
