Car crashes into Stella Road yard
The home owner, Johan Vorster, and his family were watching TV when they heard the crash emanating from the son's bedroom.
A MALVERN family was left shaken after a car crashed and destroyed their fence and the impact broke a bedroom window on Thursday evening, 20 April.
According to the home owner, Johan Vorster, he and his family were watching TV when they heard a loud bang from his son’s bedroom.
“We went to check and found that a car had crashed into our fence.”
The accident caused the window from his son’s bedroom to shatter. A tree also had fallen into the driveway and the front brick fence had collapsed.

Vorster said, there were two cars racing on Stella Road when one of the driver’s tried to overtake the other which led to the crash.
Vorster has lived in the area since 1989 and has witnessed many accidents on that road.
“We have petitioned for traffic calming measures many times in the past but all the attempts have been fruitless. “Something must be done about the Stella Road stretch because it is used a lot for drag racing,” he said.
Vorster said that there is a playground not far from his home which his family can’t enjoy because of the dangerous road.
