CONCERNED resident, Brian Mills, was the driving force behind an upliftment project to help local organisation, Highway Aged.
At the last Marianhill Park, Ashley and Caversham Glen (MAC) CPF sub forum meeting it was mentioned the non-profit organisation was a continuous victim of gate battery theft and was in desperate need of a sponsor to buy a new one.

Brian Mills of the Mariannhill Park Neighbourhood Watch volunteered to make a bracket for the motor.
When he visited the site he noticed there were more issues with the motor than just a missing battery and quickly sourced donations to fix it.
Two gate batteries were donated by Battery Clinic Pinetown, AM Manufacturing helped with repairs, brackets were donated by Duzi Worx in Pietermaritzburg while Stafix Pinetown donated a D5 PCB controller and Mariannhill Park NHW patrollers assembled everything.
“A big thank you goes out to the Marianhill Park patrollers and for everyone who got involved in this project,” said Brian.
