Crestholme couple raises funds for charities

Chris Burton together with his wife Venessa host their annual family-fun.

IN honour of his late father Crestholme resident, Chris Burton, together with his wife, Venessa started a fund-raising family-fun day at their home.

Each year, a charity is chosen and they invite family and friends for a get-together.

“This year, we are fund-raising for Careline Crisis Centre. This is a day where people can have fun with their families while doing something positive,” said Chris.

“We ask people to come up with a charity of their choice and we have a raffle and that is how we choose a charity. We then ask that charity what their daily needs are and ask people to bring those items as we do not collect money,” he said.

Chris thanked everyone who supported this event especially Waterfall SPAR who also donated some items for the centre and Mark Hellistoe from Regal Meats who sponsored meat for the day.
