Hearty donation to help SPCA

The Kloof and Highway SPCA appeals to residents to donate tinned cat and dog food or sachets.

MOLECULAR Diagnostic Services (MSD) in Westville recently made a whopping donation of 96 tins of cat and dog food to the Kloof and Highway SPCA.

“As part of our social awareness activities throughout the year, we keep our eyes and ears open for organisations or groups in need. We were eager to support the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s appeal for tinned dog and cat food for their beautiful (hopefully soon-to-be adopted) fur-guests,” said Robyn Duarte of MSD.

The tinned dog food is used to welcome, and give a treat to, the new dogs and cats that arrive as they are often scared of the new environment.

It is also used for the animals who are unwell in the clinic or for those that just won’t eat dry pellets.

The Kloof SPCA appealed to the public to donate tinned foods with gravy, for dogs and cats and sachets are welcome too.

“Thank you for the really awesome donation. It was a lovely supply of food for our dogs and cats. Thank you for taking the time and effort,” said the Kloof and Highway SPCA’s marketing manager, Lisa Mörck.
