Two people were still trapped in the wreckage when paramedics arrived at the scene.

TWO people were critically injured and 25 others suffered moderate injuries when three taxis collided along Hammarsdale Main Road, Stekspruit, on Wednesday evening.

Chris Botha, media liaison officer at Netcare 911, said paramedics responded to the collision just after 5.30pm.

“Paramedics from several services arrived and found that two critically injured people were still trapped in the wreckage and an estimated 25 others suffered injuries ranging from serious to minor. Medics treated the injured at the scene before transporting them to various hospitals,” said Botha.
