Take part in church’s quest for truth

The latest talk in the series will be hosted by acclaimed scientist, Professor Andy McIntosh.

ON Friday, 3 March the Hillcrest Baptist Church will present another topic in its ongoing Quest for Truth series, which navigates culturally relevant topics from a biblical perspective.

Visiting apologist and acclaimed scientist, Professor Andy McIntosh, will present A Sceptical View of Atheism. It will contrast atheism’s elements of rationality, morality and ethics with those of creation, sin, death and redemption in the Christian framework and conclude with which of these gives a more coherent understanding of reality and human experience. A Q and A session will follow, after which supper will be served.

The Quest for Truth series has been running since August last year and topics have included Why do bad things happen to good people?, What happens when we die and Why Christians love Santa Claus.

For those wishing to attend, booking is essential as space is limited. Friday night’s talk will be followed on Saturday, March 4 with a morning of presentations, examining how the existence of God can be seen in nature’s intricate designs. Visitors are welcome. To book, contact the Hillcrest Baptist Church during office hours on 031 765 3750.
