Robin Hood spreads love for books

Galeforce Marketing donated large pile of educational books and toys to the Robin Hood Foundation.

GAIL Kirby and Megan Wayne from a Westville company, Galeforce Marketing, collected a large pile of educational books and toys with the help of St. Elizabeth’s Pre-Primary and Sheet Street.

The books and toys were donated to Robin Hood Foundation’s Love to Read campaign, which aims to uplift rural creches.

Client services manager, Megan Wayne, said early childhood education and development is a critical and crucial element in society.

“It gives us joy and pleasure to help, in any small way, to provide books, toys and puzzles to those children who have limited access to these basic educational items,” said Wayne.

Co-ordinator of The Robin Hood Foundation, Kim Griffith-Jones thanked the Galeforce team for their general support, “What a blessing for these children.”

Anyone who would like to donate and help Robin Hood uplift the 20 crèches they will be visiting in April and May, can email robinhoodfund@telkomsa.net.
