Derbyshire team and Kearsney in charity cricket playoff

The game benefited LIV Village and the Kearsney College Bursary Fund.

ENGLISH County players made up the Wayne Madsen Invitational team in a charity cricket match against Kearsney College’s 1st XI last Thursday.

Wayne matriculated at Kearsney in 2001 and is now a star in the Derbyshire side. He was supported by Kearsney old boys and several English county cricket players. The game benefited LIV Village and the Kearsney College Bursary Fund.

The Invitational team players were: Wayne Madsen, Greg Fotheringham, Tim Groenewald (Warwickshire, Derbyshire, Somerset), Benji Hector, wicket-keeper Lloyd Madsen, Kyle Madsen, Garry Park (Durham, Derbyshire), Andrew Perkins, Marc Rosenberg, Stuart Woodroffe, Dale Benkenstein (SA, Dolphins, Durham) and 12th man Max Schiller.

Kearsney 1st XI: Luke de Vlieg, Mitch Garvie, Blaise Carmichael, Reece Daniel, Patch McGrath, Carl Heunis, Marco Gouveia, Robbie Koenig, Steve Conway, Taine Muirhead, Michael Brokensha and Jared Brien.
