Littlies take giant leap for friendship

To strengthen the bond between the parents at its school, Kloof Primary hosted a lovely picnic morning and big walk event.

KLOOF Pre-Primary School’s Big Walk for Little Feet is an annual social gathering that gives families the opportunity to get to know one another.

Families set up picnics in that school’s garden and each age group then gets a turn to walk a specially made set up around the playground. The littlies complete five laps while the older children do 10 laps each. The air was filled with so much excitement as each child received their medals and treats at the end of the walk.

“The children count down the sleeps to the big walk with much excitement and they have so much fun on the day. Their little faces beam with pride when they show off their medals after the walk. We see so many of them proudly wearing their medals to school the following week. It is well supported event, and our new families are welcomed into our KPP family in a relaxed and fun setting,” said Jamie Fourie, a teacher at the school.
