Use alternate routes during Hammarsdale blasting

SANRAL's blasting operation is scheduled to begin at 3pm.

COMMUTERS are urged to take alternate routes due to a blasting operation at the Hammarsdale Interchange on the N3 on Thursday, 9 February at about 3pm.

Both carriageways of the N3 between the Cato Ridge and Peacevale Interchanges will be closed between 3pm and 4pm. However, the blasting date may be adjusted depending on the weather conditions.

Traffic will be diverted onto the R103 at the Shongweni and Cato Ridge interchanges.

Due its close proximity to the blast site, Meadway Road and the MR385 will be closed. Traffic on Meadway Road will be diverted via Thousand Hills Drive.
