Armed robbers tie up Westville victims

The knife-wielding robbers broke into the home and stole thousands of Rands worth of valuables.

A DOMESTIC worker and her employer were held up during a home invasion in Westville yesterday.

Blue Security’s operations manager, Brian Jackson, said two brazen criminals, who were armed with knives, jumped over the back fence of the property in Derwent Road at around 1.30pm.

“The men followed the domestic worker through the laundry room and into the lounge. They held up the domestic worker and the resident,” said Jackson.

They tied them both up before they ransacked the home while searching for valuables. The robbers fled with jewellery, a laptop and cellphones.
