PHOTOS: Tributes pour in for Westville’s Bryn

Details of a memorial service have still not been confirmed at this stage.

BRYN Magree’s life was honoured by close friends yesterday, when they gathered in solidarity, after his tragic death.

Bryn’s mom, Janine Magree, created a memorial garden/verge at the corner of Kingsmead Drive and Maryvale Road early in November 2016.

She said the garden was: “To beautify our area and remember some special people.”

Therefore it was only fitting that the Memorial Garden be used to remember her own son, 17-year old Bryn, who died in the early hours of Thursday morning, after suffering an aneurysm.

Bryn’s close friends from Westville Boys’ High Sschool spent the morning at the garden, and in the evening, Westville Athletics Club walkers and runners did a walk past the garden in honour of Bryn.

Bryn’s parents and the school expressed their appreciation for the outpouring of support and sympathy they have received.

In a statement released by the school headmaster, Trevor Hall, he said the family was grateful to his friends, Virgin Active staff, an unnamed gym member and the paramedics who tried to revive and assist him at the gym as well as the professional staff of King Edward Hospital who worked throughout the night to monitor and care for him.

Details of a memorial service have still not been confirmed at this stage.
