WATCH: Tribute for ADT slain hero

The community gathered in Matapan Road, Westville to honour ADT response officer, Themba Mqukwa.

NEIGHBOURHOOD watches, CPF’s, patrollers, ADT staff, community control rooms and residents gathered in Matapan Road to honour Themba Mqukwa who was shot and killed in Westville yesterday morning.

They met at ADT offices in New Germany and left in a convoy to where Themba was shot. Themba was responding to an alarm when two men ganged up on him.

Many people described Themba as a humble man, dedicated to his job and most of the times, the first person to respond.

He was recently commended by Westville SAPS and CPF for his bravery and commitment when he arrested an armed suspect.
