WATCH: No tears for Grade 1s on first day at Avon School
All the Grade R learners were excited about their first day at big school.
THE Grade 1 learners at Avon Junior Primary School in Westville were all prepped and ready for the first day at school.
The children hung up their bags and proceeded to their class with no hiccups at all. The waved their parents goodbye and waited patiently for the new teachers to address them.
First up, they were given their name cards and introduced to each other, followed with excitement to receive their new stationery for the year.
Some learners made friends easily while others were eager to have their lunch break so they could explore the school more.
