TMC celebrates sterling set of IEB results

The school's top pupil achieved eight distinctions and an overall aggregate of 91.7 per cent.

THOMAS More College’s learners achieved 240 subject distinctions and celebrated its top pupil, Jason Galt, who attained eight distinctions.

The school had a 100 per cent pass rate and 88 per cent Bachelor Degree passes. Its top three learners were: Jason Galt, who achieved eight distinctions and was in the top 1 per cent in the country for AP maths, geography, life orientation, life sciences and mathematics and had an overall aggregate of 91.7 per cent. Stephanie Hollocks attained seven distinctions and was in the top 1 per cent nationally for English, life orientation, life sciences and physical sciences. Dylan Thwaits achieved seven distinctions and was in the top 1 per cent in the country for English, life orientation and dramatic arts.

“We are exceptionally proud of the individual success stories enjoyed by every single one of our Grade 12s this year. Given that we do not have entrance examinations at Thomas More College, it renders our results even more remarkable and is a testimony of the commitment of our staff and the resilience of our children. We wish them joy as they venture forth to live lives of significance and value,” said Dave Wiggett, the high school headmaster of Thomas More College.
