PINECREST Mall is the latest shopping centre to report a robbery.
The incident took place this afternoon when an alleged thief stole a device off the display table.
“It was a normal theft incident. The guy walked into our store and snatched a live device from the display table. He then sped off and ran over somebody as he was exiting,” said the store’s call centre agent, who did not want to be named.
It is believed the robber had a pair of scissors on him. “He was parked in the disabled parking and drove off in a white Kia. The police are still at the scene but the store is operating as usual,” she said.
The police are investigating.
