RESCUE Care paramedics confirmed that the woman who was critically injured in a rear-end collision on the M7 west bound just before the Bellville Bridge on Wednesday, 21 December, succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
“Sadly the critically injured woman has passed away in hospital after this horrific crash,” said Advanced Life Support Paramedic, Ceron Lennox.
The woman, in her 30s, was placed on a manual ventilator at the scene of the accident before being taken to hospital. Four others sustained injuries and are said to be recovering. The cause of the collision is still unknown, however, SAPS are investigating.
