A WOMAN believed to be in her 20s was killed this morning when she was hit by a car in Clermont Road, Clermont. According to ER24, the accident occurred while the driver was rushing a friend to the hospital.
The friend had reportedly been stabbed.
In a report, Er24 said, the driver lost control of the vehicle, hit the woman and crashed into a property gate.
“The woman landed in the yard of the property. Paramedics assessed the woman who had sustained multiple severe injuries and was unresponsive,” the report read.
“Paramedics initiated CPR however, despite all efforts, the woman died.”
The friend had apparently been transported to hospital privately after the accident.
