Christmas festivities back on at Westville Mall

There will be a range of fun activities for the children at the local mall this December.

CONTRARY to its previous statements, Westville Mall confirmed this week that it would continue to celebrate the festive season with a flurry of fun activities.

“Westville Mall will still be hosting a roaming Father Christmas, among other Christmas activities, this festive season and will continue to display our beautiful festive décor,” said Kellie Ettmayr, the marketing manager for Growthpoint Properties.

“We are excited to welcome the festive season, as we have for many, many years, and look forward to celebrating this very special holiday time with our community.”

Father Christmas will roam around the Mall on Saturday, 10, Wednesday, 14 and Saturday, 17 December, between 10am and 11am.

On 10 December at 11am there will be storytelling inside Mugg and Bean with Christmas characters. There will be gingerbread house building inside Checkers on Wednesday, 14 December from 11am, but seats are limited.

It will be a morning of arts and crafts on Saturday, 17 December from 11am inside Jacks Paint and Hardware, but space is limited. On Wednesday, 14 and Wednesday, 21 December from noon until to 2pm the Salvation Army Choir will sing Christmas carols outside Burger King.
