IT was proud moment at the Malvern Child and Youth Care Centre’s graduation ceremony on Thursday, 24 November. Seven child care workers received their Health and Welfare Sector Education and Training Authority (HWSETA) Child and Youth Care Work Certificate. This follows an intensive two-year study period during which each child care worker made time over and above the care of the children to apply themselves to passing this course.

“We are extremely proud of these women on an outstanding achievement. Their love for the children and dedication to furthering their knowledge and skills shows their commitment and true passion for this field of work,” said PR Manager for the Malvern Child and Youth Care Centre, Lee Jarrett.

The Malvern Child and Youth Care Centre cares for 120 vulnerable and orphaned children between the ages of two and 18 years. Through its developmental programmes, the Home is committed to helping each child reach their full potential by providing a safe and loving home, physical care and access to education, therapeutic and spiritual support.
